The BARMAH FOREST HERITAGE & EDUCATION CENTRE Located in Blake Street, Nathalia, the centre provides visitors with the chance to discover and explore the colourful history of the Barmah National Park. A must-see before you venture on into the Barmah National Park!

Situated between the Goulburn and Murray Rivers, Western Moira is a unique region full of nature and history. Part of Sun Country on the Murray, the wonderful climate is just one of the many reasons to stay. Comprising the Barmah National Park, Broken Creek and the charming towns of Barmah, Nathalia, Picola and Waaia, Western Moira is well worth a visit.

Take some time to explore the natural wonder that is Moira West, the gateway to the Murray River and the Barmah National Park. Marvel at the 500 year old River Red Gums and learn about the indigenous history of the area. Soak up some sun and history before relaxing on the banks of the Murray River or the Broken Creek.

Western Moira offers something for everyone. Why not have a hit of golf at a charming country club, enjoy a nature-based cruise on the Murray River or take a self-guided tour of our historic buildings. Explore the region and take in the scenery whilst paddling a canoe or kayak. This is a great way to get away from it all and get back to nature.
